Award to Attend 12th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences

We are pleased to announce the winner of our travel award to attend the 12th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences in Niagara Falls, Canada, from 27 to 31 August 2023. The event, themed “3Rs Over the Edge: Regulatory Acceptance and Next-Gen Education”, provides attendees the opportunity to share and learn about efforts to replace the use of animals in the life sciences.

Dr Antonio (Tony) Baines is an associate professor in the Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences at North Carolina Central University, US, and an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology and a member in the Curriculum in Toxicology & Environmental Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, US. Dr Baines is committed to helping students and trainees learn about human-relevant 21st century methods that can be used in biomedical research.
